This is one exciting Hampshire boar! We purchased this guy at the 2024 National Draft Sale. When I talked to Doug before the sale, he commented that this boar is super complete with zero holes. He is built from the ground up; big square toes, big flat bones, huge blade, strong pasterns, ideal hip with clean joints. We love his extra thickness, expansion of rib and lots of center body. He is longer fronted but still stout skulled with good length of hip and a natural slope to his tail head. Study this guy from behind. He is square to the ground with a big square rump and top. Coal Miner is 7-7 on the underline and should sire females that will farrow easy and raise lots of pigs. Study his toe spread and natural width on his front shot picture. This guy will sire Hampshires that will grow, stay sound and have lots of product. Like I said, one exciting Hampshire boar!
