We went to Mike's to look at the York boar he had in the National Draft Sale (ear notch 8-3). While there, we looked at his dam and littermate brother (8-4) and instantly fell in love. Guys, he is in his work clothes. He has been heat checking sows for the last 60 days. He is an athlete; a heads up, heavy structured boar with super strong pasterns. He has great flexibility off both ends, huge blades, perfect length with ideal shape and design to his rump. He is super clean jointed; a big ribbed hog with excellent top shape and a super square front and rear. His dam came from Tracey Lorenzen (IL) and is a great older sow that has generated lots of champions across the county. Mike says her pigging ease and milk flow are second to none. She is one impressive sow! Empire has tremendous foot quality and 7-7 underline.
